History & Vision

Americana Centre was part of Rockville’s mid-century urban renewal in the 1960’s to revitalize the city.  Built in 1970, the developers incorporated a modern architectural plan that nurtured community engagement.

In 2017, Rockville recognized the historic significance of Americana Centre’s mid-century modern design and its ubiquitous relevance in the city’s town center and architectural elements; as a result the city awarded us a Historic Designation status.

Between 2019 and present, we implemented significant infrastructure and cosmetic upgrades to ensure the health and efficiency of our carefree living.  We completed extensive updates of the high-rise buildings, townhomes and garden buildings. We focus on the different and pertinent ways to enhance quality of life and community.

Americana Centre has 425 homes with a patio or balcony consisting of 291 studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units across two high-rise buildings; 22 garden buildings with 124 two- and three-bedroom units and ten 2-story townhomes with three bedrooms and two baths each.
