We enforce our By-Laws, rules and regulations and support initiatives and capital improvements that meet our community’s needs, with integrity, fairness, respect, and active participation of all residents.

History and Vision

“It’s nice because we planned it that way!” emphasized the 1970 sales brochure published by Carl A. Freeman Companies about the sprawling Mid-Century Modern condo units at Americana Centre Condominium. From the onset, the intent was to develop a community close to public transportation near Rockville’s town center. In addition to the convenient location, it was designed to foster a quiet and friendly lifestyle and intended for family and individual needs, careers, and the pursuit of social activities.

Americana Centre Condominium was part of Rockville’s Mid-Century Urban Renewal Project in the1960s to revitalize the city. In 2017, Rockville recognized the historic significance of the Americana Centre Condominium and its ubiquitous relevance in the Town’s center and architectural elements. As a result, the Municipality awarded us the Historic designation. Between 2016 and the present, we have implemented significant infrastructure repairs and cosmetic upgrades to ensure the health and efficiency of our way of life. We have completed extensive updates on the high-rise buildings, townhomes, and garden apartments. The lobbies and hallways were refreshed with new design elements, paint and carpet, signage, and more. We focus on the different and pertinent ways to enhance life quality and community. We are a community that residents and non-residents consider a welcoming place to live.

Americana Centre was part of Rockville’s mid-century urban renewal in the 1960’s to revitalize the city. Built in 1970, the developers incorporated a modern architectural plan that nurtured community engagement.

In 2017, Rockville recognized the historic significance of Americana Centre’s mid-century modern design and its ubiquitous relevance in the city’s town center and architectural elements; as a result the city awarded us a Historic Designation status.

Between 2019 and present, we implemented significant infrastructure and cosmetic upgrades to ensure the health and efficiency of our carefree living. We completed extensive updates of the high-rise buildings, townhomes and garden buildings. We focus on the different and pertinent ways to enhance quality of life and community.

Americana Centre has 425 homes with a patio or balcony consisting of 297 studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units across two high-rise buildings; 22 garden buildings with 124 two- and three-bedroom units and ten 2-story townhomes with three bedrooms and two baths each.

All residents have access to parking throughout the community. Also, we count on Concierge Service, which operates 24 hours, seven days a week.
